PEACE - Day 2

Weekly Prayer:

Prince of Peace, we long for the tranquility only you can bring. As we navigate the busyness of this season, help us find rest in your presence and be instruments of your peace to a world in need. In your name, we pray. Amen.

Tuesday December 17th: John 16:32-33

The time is coming—indeed it’s here now—when you will be scattered, each one going his own way, leaving me alone. Yet I am not alone because the Father is with me. I have told you all this so that you may have peace in me. Here on earth you will have many trials and sorrows. But take heart, because I have overcome the world.

Reflection: As Jesus faced his darkest hour he reminded the disciples that no matter what The Lord was with Him. Peace from God transcends our circumstances; We fix our eyes on Him, we cry out to him for what we need, and we encourage one another to remain close to him. In that He promises that we will have peace; a peace that transcends understanding. Where are the places you don’t think peace could ever reign? Set your eyes on Him, pray, ask Him to show you that He is there with you, and lean into your church family to encourage and challenge you.
