PEACE - Day 3
Weekly Prayer:
Prince of Peace, we long for the tranquility only you can bring. As we navigate the busyness of this season, help us find rest in your presence and be instruments of your peace to a world in need. In your name, we pray. Amen.
Wednesday December 18th: Colossians 1:19-22
“For God in all his fullness was pleased to live in Christ, and through him God reconciled everything to himself. He made peace with everything in heaven and on earth by means of Christ’s blood on the cross. This includes you who were once far away from God. You were his enemies, separated from him by your evil thoughts and actions. Yet now he has reconciled you to himself through the death of Christ in his physical body. As a result, he has brought you into his own presence, and you are holy and blameless as you stand before him without a single fault.”
Reflection: Peace in its broadest sense means wholeness–Restored to the way we were intended. Jesus is the means of God's peace coming to all of creation. What sin had distorted Jesus makes whole, including you and I. And, as he restores us, he then makes us agents of restoration. We get to take His peace into our world and display it to those around us. Take time to thank The Lord for his grace given to you in Jesus and for the peace you have in him no matter what. Also, ask Him to help you to live out loud in such a way that those around you see His peace in us.
