LOVE - Day 1
This week, let's meditate on the incredible love that God demonstrated by sending His Son into the world. Love is at the core of the Christmas story. The birth of Jesus was a tangible expression of God's boundless love for humanity. Reflect on the love God has shown you throughout your life. As you experience the hustle and bustle of the season, remember that God's love is the greatest gift of all. Share that love with others in your words and actions.
Weekly Prayer:
Loving Father, we are humbled by the depth of your love for us. Thank you for sending Jesus to save us. Help us to love others as you have loved us and to be a reflection of your love in this world. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
SCRIPTURE REFLECTIONS
Monday December 9th: Zephaniah 3:14-17
“Sing, Daughter Zion; shout aloud, Israel! Be glad and rejoice with all your heart, Daughter Jerusalem! The Lord has taken away your punishment, he has turned back your enemy. The Lord, the King of Israel, is with you; never again will you fear any harm. On that day they will say to Jerusalem, “Do not fear, Zion; do not let your hands hang limp. The Lord your God is with you, the Mighty Warrior who saves. He will take great delight in you; in his love he will no longer rebuke you, but will rejoice over you with singing.”
Reflection: How we picture God shapes a lot of how we interact with Him.This passage reminds us that God is a Mighty Warrior, who saves He is powerful, in control, and is never defeated. He also is a loving Father who delights in his children, so much so that He sings songs of love over us like a parent to a child. Reflect on Him as a loving father and pray that His song of love to you would continue to melt your heart and empower you to share His love to others.
