HOPE - Day 3

Weekly Prayer:

Heavenly Father, we thank you for the hope that Jesus' birth brings to our lives. As we prepare our hearts for Christmas, help us to anchor our hope in Him. May His light shine brightly in our lives, dispelling darkness and uncertainty. In His name, we pray. Amen.

Wednesday Dec 4: Psalm 119:113-117

I hate those with divided loyalties,  but I love your instructions. You are my refuge and my shield; your word is my source of hope. Get out of my life, you evil-minded people, for I intend to obey the commands of my God. Lord, sustain me as you promised, that I may live! Do not let my hope be crushed. Sustain me, and I will be rescued; then I will meditate continually on your decrees.

Reflection: Our hope is not in feelings or aspirations. Our hope rests in the TRUTH of God, the PROMISES of God, and the WORKS of God. He has given us truth through His Word and His Spirit to illuminate, confirm, and encourage these truths in us. How does God’s word shape your hope? Meditate on His word, the promises of the passage we are exploring, pray that your hope in Him would go deeper and your relationship with Him would grow closer.
