HOPE - Day 1

As we begin this Advent season, we focus this week on hope. The birth of Jesus was a beacon of hope for the world, a promise of redemption and salvation. In a world filled with uncertainty and darkness, we can cling to this hope. Reflect on the hope you have in Christ, the hope that sustains you through life's challenges. Just as the people of Israel eagerly awaited the Messiah, we await His second coming. Let this hope fill your heart with anticipation.

Weekly Prayer:

Heavenly Father, we thank you for the hope that Jesus' birth brings to our lives. As we prepare our hearts for Christmas, help us to anchor our hope in Him. May His light shine brightly in our lives, dispelling darkness and uncertainty. In His name, we pray. Amen.

SCRIPTURE REFLECTIONS

Monday Dec 2: Isaiah 9:6-7

“For a child is born to us, a son is given to us. The government will rest on his shoulders. And he will be called: Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. His government and its peace will never end. He will rule with fairness and justice from the throne of his ancestor David for all eternity. The passionate commitment of the Lord of Heaven’s Armies will make this happen!”

Reflection: We long to experience Jesus’ Kingdom both now and eternally. Our hope is in His justice, grace, love and ultimately, His reign. Take a few minutes to reflect on how He is your hope. In a world that often can look hopeless, how can you take time throughout your day to pause and focus your heart on Jesus, reminding yourself that He keeps all the promises he has made.
