LOVE - Day 3
Weekly Prayer:
Loving Father, we are humbled by the depth of your love for us. Thank you for sending Jesus to save us. Help us to love others as you have loved us and to be a reflection of your love in this world. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
Wednesday December 11th: Psalm 103:8-14
“The Lord is compassionate and gracious, slow to anger, abounding in love. He will not always accuse, nor will he harbor his anger forever; he does not treat us as our sins deserve or repay us according to our iniquities. For as high as the heavens are above the earth, so great is his love for those who fear him; as far as the east is from the west, so far has he removed our transgressions from us. As a father has compassion on his children, so the Lord has compassion on those who fear him; for he knows how we are formed, he remembers that we are dust.”
Reflection: Go outside and Look up… reflect on how vast the sky is… seemingly never ending. The psalmist tells us that as vast as the sky above us is how great God’s love is for us. God knows every thought you have, every motive, every action, no matter how subtle you think you are… He knows and sees all, and His response to all that is love! Deep and abiding Love for you! He does not love the version of you that you wish you were… He loves you now, where you are at. His love and grace is more than enough for whatever mess you find yourself in. Take some time to thank him… Share with him the areas you are struggling, hurting, failing, and let him encourage you with His steadfast love.
