JOY - Day 5
Weekly Prayer:
Lord, we rejoice in the gift of your Son and the joy He brings. May this joy be our strength, our source of happiness, and our reason for celebration this Christmas. Help us to share this joy with the world. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
Friday December 27th: Revelation 21:3-5
“Then I heard a loud voice from the throne: Look, God’s dwelling is with humanity, and he will live with them. They will be his peoples, and God himself will be with them and will be their God. He will wipe away every tear from their eyes. Death will be no more; grief, crying, and pain will be no more, because the previous things have passed away. Then the one seated on the throne said, “Look, I am making everything new.”
Reflection: One day… all of creation will experience the fullness of joy from this promise! God will restore all things to his intended design. All of the hurt, pain, shame, frustration, loss, will fade in the light of His love, glory and goodness. Our relationship with Him will be fully realized and our relationships with one another will be restored. As we look forward into a new year, with new challenges and also new opportunities, let us REJOICE; Jesus is on the throne, in control, and at work! As we pray, ask Him to give us full hearts that are ready to display and declare His Kingdom to those around us as well as deeper affection for Him, trust in Him, and passion for Him. That our eyes would be fixed on Him every moment of every day in 2025.
