Ministry Teams

In Ephesians 4:11-12 Paul writes, “And he gave the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, the shepherds and teachers, to equip the saints for the work of ministry, for building up the body of Christ…” Paul says that God has given people with particular gifts to the church in order to equip the rest of the church for the work God has given them so that God’s church would be built up. This means that while pastors and staff at Redeemer have a unique responsibility to the church, they are not supposed to carry all the weight of ministry themselves but equip and train others to carry some of the weight on their shoulders. There are many ways you can help carry some of the load.

Meet the Need

In Matthew 5:16 Jesus calls his followers to let their “…light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven.” At Redeemer we are zealous to see God raise up a radiant people who would diffuse the light of Jesus into a dark world by doing good works that are fueled by the glory of God. There are needs all over our community and there are resources God has give us to help meet those needs. There are kids who need to be tutored, hungry people who need to be fed, and lonely people who need to be loved. As we step into these various needs, our desire is to see lost people who need to hear the gospel see the church in action. At Redeemer we run regular “Meet the Need” campaigns to engage our community and diffuse the light of Christ.
