Our Leaders

Elders

Redeemer is governed by a body of elders who serve as shepherds in the life of our church. Our elders work together to lead, feed, and care for those who call Redeemer home.

Shannon Collins

Lead Pastor

Shannon has pastored Redeemer since it’s launch in 2015. He is a graduate of Dallas Seminary and has served on staff at churches of all sizes and styles for the last 18 years. He and his wife Karen were married in 2001 and moved to the DFW area in 2002. Karen is an RN with experience in both hospital and clinical settings and currently works as a school nurse in our community. God has blessed them with two amazing children: Caleb in 2007 and Sarah in 2011. Shannon is an avid football fan, enjoys time spent with family and friends, fishing, running, and trying to keep up with his kids.  “My prayer for Redeemer is that God would make us a Christ-centered & community-focused church here in the heart of Rockwall County that would make disciples of Jesus who would love and serve the people around us in the name of Jesus.  I long to see God use this church to foster gospel renewal in the lives of people and in this place we call home.”

Stanley works as a consultant for a healthcare company. He and Lyndsay got married in 2015 and have a son named Ezra. Stanley enjoys reading and watching football. “My prayer for Redeemer is that we would come to experience and live in God’s love that He has shown us through his son Jesus.”

Steve Welsh

Elder

Steve is the Assistant Principal at a high school in Garland ISD. He has been married for 27 years to Marsha and they have 2 children, Logan and Lacy. Their family moved to Poetry, TX in November 2013 and joined Redeemer, formally known as Sabine Creek, the following summer. Steve states “I sold out to Jesus as my Savior and Lord in 1989 at a Carman concert. I was “radically saved” and have been seeking to know God and serve him using the gifts he has given ever since.”

Staff

The daily operations of Redeemer are carried out by a team of vocational staff and lay volunteers who faithfully serve in their areas of ministry.

Bryan came on staff at Redeemer Church in January of 2017.  He is a graduate of John Brown University and Redeemer Seminary and is now serving as the Worship and Student Pastor. After graduating college in 2013 Bryan moved to Dallas to attend seminary. Shortly after making the move he met the love of his life, Angela, an Aggie, and the two were wed in June of 2015. Both are excited about what the Lord is doing in and through Redeemer Church for His glory and kingdom. “My prayer for Redeemer is that it will be a Gospel-centered and Gospel-driven community that is known for its love for God and love for others, and that He will continue to bless Redeemer Church so that it can be a blessing to the people in Rockwall County and beyond for His kingdom and His glory.”
